thanks to Tommy Vance the Rock audience just got bigger and bigger worldwide. This was due to not only the release of "The Friday Rock Show" compilation album on records in the 80's nationally in the UK and worldwide but also the fact that The New Wave of British Heavy Metal was taking the world by storm at this time. We have TV to remember these by as he promoted them. This is a tape recording of the final request show of the series of Rock Salad on the BBC World Service. This was broadcast worldwide. The signals early in the morning at 5am in Sydney were good although as usual on the SW band the signals tended to drop out. On 1224KHz MW, Sydney community station 2RPH switches to BBC World Service each evening via satellite. This is the recording taken from reel to reel tape and transferred to mini disc. Enjoy!
