Prove It by Television Tommy informs us: "The band Television switched themselves off way back in 1978 but they did actually reform for one album and a tour about four years ago. And I really love that track. Its called "Prove It" (Tommy Vance - August 1996)

The beginning of 1986 saw the death of our very own Phil Lynott in England. Tommy Vance immediately broadcast his tribute to Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy as we knew them at the end of the "Thunder and Lightning" tour, Based on their best and most heaviest album to date. The tribute brought an end of an era for Thin Lizzy and so this show was then broadcast early 1986. The BBC WS Rock Salad show in its tribute to Thin Lizzy was broadcast approximately January/Early February. Unfortunately we cannot hear what Tommy had to say about this now but the whole show included the BBC Radio One Live In Concert show, The recording in which came from The Reading Rock Festival from England 1983. These were the best live recordings of Thin Lizzy and Tommy Vance re - broadcast most of the live show on that very day. Just weeks following Phils' death. Thin Lizzy was at that point at their best! I recognised these very recordings which came from the show 'Rock Salad" because of the tremendous feedback at the end of this track....... A very rare recording here of the live performance and it brought an end to another great show from the studios in London.

Thank you to Nickolay Sviridov for uploading the complete Australian Edition of Rock Salad in 2015. The recording is of October 1990 on the Short Wave Band. Tommy Vance presented Rock Salad for BBC World Service for many years. This programme was recorded back in autumn of 1990. "Very special Australian Edition" : AC/DC, Angels, INXS, 1927, John Farnham and Midnight Oil. Sorry for poor short wave air quality and due to the aging of the tape
